OK, I'm confused. What does Syler do with teh brains? Because if he eats them, that's nasty.

He doesn't eat them, he just touches them and uses his ability to examine them. The brains he removed were not eaten. He took them away so he could examine them in safety without being caught. As he grew more powerful, he no longer felt the need to leave quickly after a kill as no threat was more than he could handle.
