Activation

The negative part of it blocks abilities. So what would the positive part do? Somewhat enhance the ability it's affecting? Or nothing?

would probably force the ability to be active, so say BMP used activation on Matt, it would probably force him to listen to people's thoughts

Cool that'd mean it'd have no visible effect on a passive ability like regen, right?

Yeah, I think that's right. I would just activate the ability, which prompts the question, did Hiro ever really lose his ability or did he just think he did?

well Arthur was probably more concentrated on taking the catalyst than taking Hiro's powers, so he probably left a few traces which BMP was able to activate

Yeah, that's what I thought. Either that or Athur never takes the ability fully, like with Peter when he asked if they were gone forever, he said yes with confidence, but maybe he didn't really know. I guess with Peter we never got to find out since he took the formula anyway, but maybe Maya would have started showing signs of her ability again. I suppose we'll never find out now, probably never would have anyway though, lol.

but didnt arthur say to mohinder (just before he took maya's ability) that he takes every part of the power, leaving no trace behind.

true. but it looked liek he took evberything from hiro. Cus he said "and ill take your powers too" it looked pretty easy and its not like he was in a rush bing that he could then control time

I think Hiro still had the genes that gave him the ability, and that's what Matt activated.

yep Arthur removes abilities and stops the owner from using it but he can't erase the genetic code, which means Hiro and Peter could be activated again.

Doubt it, cos Peter replaced his ability, and i think that meant he altered his genes.

Peter could have been activated by Baby Matt but he didn't even know he existed so used the formula to save his brother but by taking it he mixed and messed up his genes so he could only absorb one power at a time.
