What I want to know is what that weird beam thing was at the end? Is there any possibility someone could have got to the computer and planted something in it to do that? The timing did suggest it'd be something to do with Vivian, but I can't see how she could have had it planted.

Maybe the beam was Orioans defence mechanism for his secret work and only those with som physical attributes from the Bartowski family would be able to access it? That would be my guess.
