Amazing film, Quicksilver was fucking awesome but where the fuck was Scarlett Witch? Just like.. not cool. They're the fucking Maximoff twins except she's a toddler and he's a teenager?? bullshit.
The shit with the original timeline - the reason Xavier is alive at all in the original future is because of the after credits scene in Last Stand where he reveals he merged his mind with that of his identical dead twin brother who also happened to be disabled - basically it was bullshit. How they managed to link the Sentinals not being created to Jean and Scott being alive is weird but I don't know, it had to be a happy ending and fuck it was happy.
Yeah, the next film is X-Men Apocalypse and it'll be set in the 80s I think. They're casting young Scott, young Jean and they're bringing back Quicksilver - and hopefully fucking Scarlett Witch. I'm really bitter over her being excluded because they did him perfectly and the "You move metal, right? My mum knew someone who could do that".
But overall, happy with the film - thought First Class was better tbh but there were more mutants and idk I do love Kitty. And cheesy closing scenes where everything is right with the world and Wolverine is happy and Jean is there and yeah I love it. And I'm so glad I saw it in the cinema because jfc that Quicksilver scene was just stunning like visually 10/10.
I still don't like Last Stand though - I mean the 2004 cartoon series I watched when I was 8 did the Phoenix arc more justice than Last Stand idk
