Induced Radioacticity
Ok, what I wanna know is, if you get this power, are you basically destined to die? Cos in S1 they kept going on about how Peter would only survive cos of Claire, but Ted never got burnt from his power - Bob's Law - and neither did Peter. Therefore, where the characters just assuming that Peter would only survive cos of RCR - including "all-knowing" Angela - or where they correct? Would Ted have died, if he had exploded?

Re: Induced Radioacticity
well originally in s1 a terrorist was meant to have this ability and his hands were all burnt
but i think that you shouldnt be affected by your ability because ted wasnt, but the thing with peter is that he was going to BLOW UP as ted never didthat, ted just let out all of his radiation.

Re: Induced Radioacticity
Ted's law isn't applicable to all abilities - electro, for example. I think that, in the smaller cases anyway, it was meant to burn originally but they changed their minds. Idk whether a full explosion would harm the person or not, or maybe the regen was just regarded as a kind of insurance just in case it did harm him.

Re: Induced Radioacticity
I wasn't sure. I dont think it would really b fair to get an ability that gave you about a month to live. It's unfair!!!! I mean, most abils safe ppl.

Re: Induced Radioacticity
Yes i think he would die because its not just him letting out radiation. I think that if certain abilities become overpowered with emotion/adrenaline/too much of whatever the heck causes abilities then the abilitiy can outburst. e.g. tracy's cold snap, peter's would be explosion/ meredith's company implosion. All of which are supposedly immune to their abilities.

Re: Induced Radioacticity
Wouldn't he have burned in small doses, then, like originally shown? Meh, they probably just decided they cba to give Ted those burns every time he used the ability.

Re: Induced Radioacticity
But Ted seemed to have pretty good control over his ability, until his emotions got too bad.

But he could activate it when he wanted. Just not deactivate it when he didn't.

No, he wasn't. When he was in the building with Matt. He was pissed, sure. But not out of control.
