World 5- The Formula
13th July, 2007

Arthur Petrelli had a dream. To release a highly powerful formula which would gift 'non evolved humans' with special, supernatural powers. This plan was attempted to be stopped. However, the attempt of prevention failed.
Arthur Petrelli and his associates had created a huge batch of the formula which was planned to last for years. They stocked this up deep down in the Pinehearst cellars, only intended for the use of the US Army, and the rich and wealthy.
But with so many new employees coming into Primatech each month, it would be easy for a small part of this formula to slip out into the normal world. Arthur wanted to make sure that, for the time being, only the rich could afford this.
But can Arthur really stop this formula from getting out into the hands of criminals? Join us in World 5- The Formula where the whole world is special.

I reached over, to take Darryn's hand. And to bring his lips to mine. A thank you. For the present he had gotten me. 27.

But the second I made contact, a rush of information sent my head spinning. I couldn't concentrate. I couldn't focus. I couldn't..... see anything. Two people.... two people kissing..... one of them my boyfriend.... the other one.... it wasn't me.

I reached forwards, anger in my eyes. I couldn't deny the truth of what I had seen, and I let my emotions take control. I let them pull through me, like a machine. I let them rip.... all the life out of his body. I understood what was happen. I could feel the rush of energy in my head. The spout of energy. But I could also see him.... I could watch him crumble. Turn to dust. Mere particles.... and I didn't care.

David walked on a beach, he just sort of drove until he reached somewhere and it happened to be this beach, it was nice, but they're was a smell of smoke in the air, years of being a company agent meant his instincts had taught him that it wasn't good, he went to his car and brought out his gun, then went to investigate

I looked at him. Dust. Ash. He looked like an old fire....... He had been my boyfriend. I had loved him...... but he had.... deserved it? I could feel the hatred deep inside of me. It was his fault. Not mine. I didn't make him cheat. I didn't make him do anything.

I stood up, sweeping up the ashes, and putting them in the bin. He was a person!

Aura was in New York, taking her dog for a walk. She walked down the streets, with her thin shirt on, it was a hot and warm day. Her dog was happy, enjoying the sun, and she decided to stop for a drink. As she entered the shop a purchased a soda, she heard her dog call out as he was thirsty. She bought some water too and went back to walking her dog.

I've heard something. There's a building not far from here, Pineheart? Anyway, from what dad was saying, they have a formula. It makes people like me, like people like you.

It's just a rumour, Jerome.

But what if its not? Can we at least check it out?

I sat in my apartment, glancing through the piles of flyers which had come in this morning. Most I'd throw away after barely looking at them, but I'd paused on one. This one.

It was a flyer from a biological research company called Pinehearst, advertising some genetic enhancement formula it'd just released. At first, my eyes skimmed over it, barely reading. But then some words jumped out. Abilities. Flight. Strength. Speed. Superhuman.

I paused. Was this.....could it be? Was that what they were saying? Was this a formula to turn normal people.....into beings like me?

I sighed, worried. I wasn't sure why. I just....didn't like this, somehow. Not from ant foreboding that it was a bad idea or anything like that, I couldn't. I just....I liked things the way they were. I liked being different, weird. I'd want to keep things that way.

David followed his nose, eventually he came across a blonde woman, he recognised her, he had met her many times, not that she remembered any of their meetings, but it wasn't important now, she was dead and he immediately knew who it was, despite the burns he recognised it, he took out his gun and looked around, cautiously approaching the body

I buried my face in my heads, trying to force these thoughts away. A part of me knew I might be being selfish. The rest of me didn't care. The rest of me liked being unique, liked the fact that only a handful of people apparently had these abilities and as far as I knew, I hadn't met any of them. Most of all, I liked the fact that the ability made me different. Different, separate from my family.

Davis put out the last dying flames, holstered his gun and picked up the body, there must be a way to bring her back, he walked towards the car and placed her in the boot, covering her up with a few blankets

Well, different and seperate from them, for now. I'd realised at once that this formula, as it was being marketed, would be sold to the rich, the influential. It'd become the next big thing, the new neccessity. The type of thing my relatives would flock to, drawn as moths to the flame of its publicity. Even if they didn't, the flyer mentioned it'd been sold to the armed forces, and my younger brother was in the marines.

David drove, he knew where he was going, he had heard the company had kept a few samples of regenerative blood in the base in NY, and if it worked then he could get her back to his apartment quickly

I forced those thoughts away, walking back into the bedroom. He still hadn't woken. Whoever he was. I'd found him, about a week ago, near the site of that building which had partially exploded. I'd guessed he'd been caught up in it, from the way he was burned and covered in cuts and blood when I'd found him, his face looking like it'd been slashed open. That wound still made me feel queasy to look at it.
