Should I start a vampire story?

I have an idea for a vampire story, but Pippy and Bil already have vampire stories here and I don't want to seem to be copying them. Plus, I'm a bit unreliable. I have 3 other stories in my head to write too, and I haven't started them yet.

Should I start a vampire story too or shall I just leave it?

I knida stopped writing mine anyways! Couldn't think of an ending!

About a rebellion and a forbidden pairing. It's AU. It's a story I've had in my head for ages, so I thought I'd finally try writing it.

Finish it? I haven't even started it really! I've done about half of the first chapter.

The vampire story will follow a teenage girl in high school, but she won't be the typical vampire.

Sounds cool. What'll be different about her?

She's not whiney or angsty. There's more, but I haven't thought it up yet.

I'd say no, but I don't want to put you off writing a story. I'd just try something original instead. There's all this vampire buzz at the moment, but it's starting to get a bit old. If you CAN make it original, then go for it. Having said that, it's a lot easier to achieve originality if the whole concept is totally your idea. I will definitely have a go at reading it if you do decide to write one, but my opinion is that it would be better to try something that hasn't really been done before. Anyway, that's why I said up to you. Good luck whatever you decide.

I decided to make the story more focused on her school life than on her species, unlike most vampire stories. Plus, the vampires in this won't be like the ones in Twilight. I'll be making up their traits as I go along. She's not going to be too angsty and emotional over her past like other vampires (you know, the stereotypical emo ones) which should hopefully make it a little bit different, but she still has to have some opinion about it. I'm just trying to think of how I could do that without making her stereotypically and boringly angsty at the moment.

That's what I'm trying to do. But I aint getting far. I might just pack it in and shut up shop.

I might give it a while before starting seeing as there's so much vampire stuff around a the moment.
