Re: Alphas
Using the device she'd programmed? A little bit. But that sort of stuff does tend to sound mechanical.

Re: Alphas
That was only a few weeks ago but I can't remember it well Why was it weird? Just to hear her, or did her voice sound freaky?

Re: Alphas
In her memories? I think so. It looked that way, anyway - a mother or mother figure.

Re: Alphas
i know this may seem stupid but if she forgets everything (the same what i think with people with amnesia) wouldnt they forget the language they are speaking? or am i just stupid- or is it a different part of their memory like visual memory that they forget?

Re: Alphas
Different parts of memory Like most amnesia patients don't forget walking, talking etc. unless it's that part of the brain which is damaged. It's memories of events she loses, she can still remember facts, right?

Re: Alphas
she says she forgets everything, like she can learn things from reading books or listening to things too not just watching things- i think anyway so i guess she does forget facts too.

But doesn't she remember the things she learns in books? Like she remembers the skills she learns.

Re: Alphas
well i dnt think so, because she did say she forgets everything like she wouldnt remember any of the people she had met so its likely she would remember everything they said to her.

Re: Alphas
Memories break into 3 categories: events, facts and skills. Each are stored in different parts of the brain. She loses events, but she retains skills exceptionally well.

Re: Alphas
It seemed to me like she had months of accumulated fighting learning And like you pointed out before, she retained basic stuff like language and walking.

Re: Alphas
yeah thats what i dnt get, i thinking walking and language is kind of automatically learnt but maybe things she just learns in addition after a month, she forgets.

Re: Alphas
Like basics are preserved? Makes sense. Wonder why the same doesn't happen with her childhood memories, though. And her name - does she remember that, or rename herself all the time?

Re: Alphas
i was thinking tha about her name, although Kat could just be a made up name i suppose if someone recognizes her and calls her Kat then she will just keep that name.

Re: Alphas
Yeah, maybe she tries to make sure that there's always someone she'd know who remembers her name, or maybe she writes it down somewhere or has some ID on her. Those'd be other options.
