Nah, I'm at a Sixth Form College, the rules are a bit different. I can only take four but I'm welcome to come back and take another one but I don't want to be in college at 21 xD

In college? Awesome, that's a great combo! They always seem to want to get kids to do a mixture of things but then nothing that will not go with the other courses at all (Weird, I know) but all my subjects fit into the same category they have! (Classics goes with everything really!)

Mixing is only if you don't have a clue what you want to do, so you don't limit your options

That and I'm too indecisive to pick an actual path I chose the best/my favourite subjects

I did the same with English Lang (Lit is good but Lang has a more creative side!) and Classic's is something a friend is doing and she said its great and stuff so I thought what the hey and decided against my original choice (art) and changed it to Classics instead

That works Of my ones, the only one which remotely ties to what I ended up doing is Maths.

Argh, how you can do Maths past what you're forced to do in school/college is a mystery to me. It mindlessly bores me xD

What did you do, Lowri?
There's SO much about classics at my school, you should come here We actually offer Ancient Greek & Latin as both GCSEs and A-Levels

I like Maths, it makes sense I don't think it's too hard and the teacher's awesome Although she keeps saying I'm too much like Luke :/

I wanted to do Latin in college but they don't have any classes there and no-one who could actually teach it me

You do it if you're good at it and practically guaranteed of getting an A

Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Psychology at AS level. I was sticking to the sciences cause I was applying for Medicine.
And those are classic languages, I think what Holly's considering is different/more varied.

Why would you want to study Latin?

It's not impossible, it's just so boring - you don't learn how to say anything interesting - or to say anything at all

It's not that I'd be questioning Why Latin? If you wanted to do languages, wouldn't you want ones which are still living?

Latin has a stronger reading side than pronouncing side I think xD

Latin is still pretty much alive! I just like it, and it would contribute towards my writing

Re: Whoopsie
Alive? Who speaks it as a language? It's used in religious ceremonies and scientific naming, that's pretty much it. Unless you wanted to be translating old texts.
