OMG how boring was that opening ceremony.

Although the Red arrows flew over my house, and i watched the fireworks from my window.

Very Boring. The music was dull, the theme was too British (its suppose to be a multicultural, international event) and some things were just bizzare. I mean, when the guys came out with wings, i was like Cool but then i saw they had bikes. I said that it will be better if they flew, then one did. WITH THE FLIPPING BIKE! So stupid!

Yeah thats what id said to mum. If people wanted to learn about britains history they would visit out landmarks (or seen it in the last 2 times we'd have held the olympics).

They should have focused more on the urban britain, the multi cultural aspect. Taking inspiration from britains got talent etc. And focused on our music scene. Adele, One Direction, Take That, Beatles, Oasis, Etc. what people really look at great britain for.

Not too sure on Urban Britain but still yeah, maybe todays society. I could understand if they wanted to include the history, as it is important but it was all about what Britain was and not what it is now!

If Adele was there, then it would of been amazing, plus she's known by the world. I think a mini concert would of been good, maybe for an hour or shorter, but the artic monkeys were terrible.

And the whole thing with the dancing, the industrial revolution looked crap. No offence, but even the tribute to GOSH was pretty terrible, same with the NHS. I did like the cauldron though, i thought that was pretty cool the fireworks were crappy as well.

exactly, they needed people That are british, that are known by the world to represent us. Although Adele is almost 7 months pregnant so i doubt she's be there.

Yeah the way they made the rigs was good, but they could have had more of a representation of modern britain than what they did. It didnt fit in with the new-ness of the stadium and this area.

Although the fire works at the end were good, we heard them here

I thought they could of shown more sides to the UK- i feel sorry for Scotland, NR and Wales, it was like they were not even represented at al! Maybe even build minitures of the landmarks, like stonehenge, escept for that stupid fake grassy hill. WTF was that about?

And i think i was the only one who didnt like the queen and bond thing. Although if it was the real queen who jumped out of the helicopter, I would be amazed! That would definately be a moment to remember!

I thought they could of done better fireworks, maybe even some at buckingham palace. That would of been cool.

the thing with the representation is its done by city, but yeah i get what you mean there. There would have been no point of fire works at the palace considering everyone was watching the ceremony in Stratford lol.

I didnt particularly get the helicopter part, nor the Mr Bean bit. But they were along the right track with it. We have James Bond etc and all they, they should have showed all the things like that off.

Yeah even Jessie J, or Plan B, considering they are from London. But i did enjoy it, and the Part where they made the flame from the copper pots was really good. But i will admit i fell asleep when the countries were coming out (i havent slept properly in 3 weeks so i was knackered)

they could of switched a camera view to the palace, since the americans love the queen. Yh i get the bond stuff, but i never knew mr bean was so well known.

i actually skipped the channel when it went to C's, then i went back in half an hour, and they were on H's

I didnt know about mr bean either. Hes world wide known.
They could have switched, but what about the 80000+ people in the stadium? And we would have missed what was happening at the staduim.

Yeah it was really long waiting for them to all come out. Even still, and hours sleep in 3 weeks is better than nothing.

yh, it was. Im so disappointed, i just wish i was on the comittee, just to give a few GOOD ideas. Even if they added beach balls, it would of made it better.
