The research proved itself useless with limited references to their existence at all. Lily found a book that gave detailed descriptions of weapons that kill Ainsprid but since they already owned one, its use was limited. Dani suggested after an hour more of looking that there was no point. I need to kill it so I can live, right? So we don't need an antidote. I've still got a couple hours,[/color] she said, checking the wall clock instantly. Seven hours. An antidote will only make that time longer - and I'll be honest, I don't want to wait. Waiting is driving me crazy.

Your Ainsprid must know that, commented Kylian. It is aware it had infected you and must know that if you do not kill it, it wins. Surely with any common sense it would hide and wait for your death.

Unless it wants the kill itself, Nick replied. Some instinct was telling him that it'd prove to be the case. It sounded like the style of any creature so dedicated to extermination. Something like that would want to see its victim's face as she died, and have the blood on its hands.

Dani shrugged. I don't know any better than you guys. My dad was stabbed by a poisoned knife - that could mean.. and Greg.. I don't know any cases that help.

There's a few mentions of Ancients in those two, but I don't know how much they'll say about their deaths..

Is there any way to trace or locate them? Sky asked, searching herself for a way but with little luck so far.

Not that I can find, said Lily. But I think there were general summoning spells mentioned here earlier. Said any magical being should be able to work them..

So we create a trap and summon it into it? she concluded, almost smiling. The idea actually sounded as if it could work.

How would we trap it? asked Dani, dejectedly. She couldn't feel happy or excited, it was impossible - her brother was dead and summoning the creature would only lose more lives.

Kylian looked pensive for a few seconds. Surely you're not required to kill the Ainsprid? Any who wields the weapon could kill it, he stated.

Yeah, confirmed Mark, feeling proud for the first time when he realised he was the only living person to be able to claim they had killed an Ainsprid. And continued to smile when he realised that he was likely to share that title soon.

Kylian also wore a smile. Dani could feel the morale raising in the room, and she couldn't let herself affect it. They were right, she had to try, but she couldn't let them.. I am a skilled sword fighter, if we summon the creature, the King would surely not deny you a cell to store it.. I could fight the creature.

Resolved, Dani nodded and she put on a smile. Aware of Sky's presence, she began to control her own emotions, making herself optimistic, making her doubts undetectable. She only realised afterwards that it helped, even though she knew that her emotions were wrong, they helped. Lets do it.

Together we'll all be strong enough to trap it, or fight it at need, Sky reassured her.

She nodded and Lily began flicking back through the pages she'd read, looking for the spells. Mark helped and within a few minutes, they had a list of things they'd need. Kylian took Lily off to the herb shops whilst the car arrived to take them all up to the palace. They were led down stone steps into a jail. To Dani's surprise, the room was hardly the dark and dank place she had expected; instead it was covered in white marble and natural sunlight flooded through the window. Everyday the captives would feel hope and feel it slip away, explained Kylian when he arrived a few minutes later.

I can relate, she mumbled, quietly and Mark patted her on the shoulder awkwardly, since he had no idea what else he was meant to say. Lily moved down the stone steps into the chosen cell slowly, and when she reached the floor, she knelt down and began spreading crystals and a dark red liquid that looked suspiciously like blood on the floor and the walls, copying the strange shapes from the text book.

Sky, Nick and Daniel just assisted in the summoning spell, since I don't know any more details of what we're doing here.

Lily directed some people of what to do, pointing to symbols in the book to carry out. Soon the walls were almost completely covered in pictures. Dani stayed out of the spell and tried to conceal the shooting agony as she endured another jolt of pain. Kylian exited the cell to talk to Dani. I think we're ready. Do you want to stay out here?

She shook her head immediately. I can't let you.. she explained, briefly and he nodded. Not alone.

Be careful, he warned and she tried her best for an optimistic smile. Once she was in the room, Lily instructed that those who weren't fighting had to leave. I assume Sky, along with Mark and Lily, were ushered out of the room and Dani crouched down in front of the open book and pot. Lily had told her which passage to read, told her what to do.

(Does that mean Nick and Daniel are still inside?)

(Thought you'd want them to be, but if not, doesn't matter. It's the only way they'd be in danger)

(I was checking. But when did I say anything about wanting them to be in danger? )

(You wanted one of them to get injured, I thought?)

(Nah, I said that I wanted the fighting to return to the school cause I had plans involving putting other characters in danger )

(Oh, I planned it so that they returned to the school after Nick/Daniel were in danger, since I assumed it was them Okay, sorry.. I don't know if I can get in them going back to the school to injury others though, especially since I doubt Dani's close with them?)
