Can I put a smiley face instead?
The Electoral Commission says the best way to make sure your vote is counted is to mark an X in a box. But a smiley face or anything which is interpreted by a returning officer as an expression of preference "must not be rejected if the voter's intention is clear", its guidance to Returning Officers says.

Rajan, is the countdown thing on the top of the homepage looking weird to you? It is to me. Maybe we should remove it. Can you remember how to do that?

Actually, I think it's more to do with the layout. Do you know how to fix that? I tried yesterday, but all I could do was mess it all up

I thought that was something you'd added deliberately! Bit random It's small enough to ignore if you really can't get rid of it, though.

oh no. i think this was an anime theme, it had a different picture at the top originally, which is what i changed to the heroes one.

Could you change the background pic too though? I think ours previously just had some vague grey pattern.

The top picture is off-centre I think I actually preferred the black and white one you had before.

How much more complicated is doing it that way? I'd have thought you'd have to mess about a bit regardless, because I doubt any random pre-made set would have both a Heroes header and an anime girl. Or was that something one of us had saved before?

i put the heroes image on the top page on afterwards. the anime girl is from an anime skin- it was the only one that i could find which was similar. originally there was more anime stuff on but i took it out, i just cant find where to take out the anime girl
