W1 Opinions wanted!

By "Multis shouldn't be able to copy other multi abilities" I mean they shouldn't be able to take, replicate or absorb another ability that allows them to have more than one. Eg. An empathic mimic cannot absorb Ability Duplication, and vice versa.

It'd be too complicated if they could mimic each other

Please post why you want mimics to copy other mimic here. Personally I can't see why you would want things to get crazy like that.

Wouldn't it be mixed up? E.g. if an empath mimicked CM, how would the resulting ability work?

Then why did you ask who they were? Any it wouldn't work Josh. it just wouldn't. Things would get crazy and messed up and I'd have to close the world down.

He'd absorbed it, but it didn't affect him until he did something to activate it

Oh yeah. But if an EM got AD or PA, they'd already have absorbed the ability so they'd never be able to use AD. They might be able to use PA to remove the ability from the person, but they'd already have it so they wouldn't gain it again.

Yeah, it is, isn't it? I can remember watching it.

More like he didn't know he had PA til he'd lost them all, so he didn't really know that was an option. It might have kicked in though if he'd wanted to permanently steal an ability, but he never did.

In W1, would multies be able to absorb secondary abilities from other multies?

They don't in W3

They do occassionally in canon I think the rule might be, they can absorb from someone with a different core ability, but not from someone with the same one.

We'd have to be careful it doesn't make them too powerful though, if that's the rule we choose
