The Alien/Predator francises
There is said to be prequels of each francise I know little of the Alien one at the moment but the Predator prequel entitled "Predators" is set on the Predator home planet. The script was written before the AVP films and focuses on a group of people visiting it. It is said to star Adrian Brody (King Kong) as the main hero of the film.

Re: The Alien/Predator francises
AVP's are great and there will be a 3rd cos of the cliffhanger at the end of the 2nd. Alien is fairly good but you don't really see the Xenomorph that much which kinda sucks but it creeps up on the crew. Aliens is a great film an army of Aliens against the humans. Alien 3 is the worst of them. Alien: Resurrection is a big improvement on the 3rd. Predator 1 is amazing great entertainment watching Arnie being bested at his prime by a 7ft predator which can not be seen. Predator 2 is quite good set more in a future-ish LA and the pred goes round killing of gang members and a drug barons men and this is the film that sets up the AVP as a glimpse of the pred homeworld is seen and a Xenomorph's head in the trophy cabinet.

Re: The Alien/Predator francises
I agree Ped films are much better than Alien films you guys watched dodgeball (silly question) cos the guy who plays Owen in it is in Avatar too you know what I hate out of all the Alien and Predator stories...facehuggers those vile things piss me off so much I wouldn't hesitate to use a pred bomb in their egg chamber and a lasser canon.

Re: The Alien/Predator francises
The Avp films aren't that good but Seperately the Alien and Predator films are something else(apart from Alien 3 and 4 of course) No doubt Predator wins hands down Imo but Alien and Aliens are two great films as well.

Re: The Alien/Predator francises
Haha thanks Jason I love the Predator films a lot more than the Alien I can't wait to see the Predator prequel apparently the script was written before AVP and is set on their homeworld according to Empire another film I enjoyed which kinda links into this kinda doesn't was Pitch Black starring Vin Diesal as Richard B Riddick in his first appearence as the character I have the DVD and the end of the blog was pretty cool "Welcome to a world where the Sunlight can burn you but the darkness kills you" or something like that if you haven't watched them already I would recommend it If you enjoy it you might wanna watch the sequel it's not got the same horror element but it's still quite good for any sci/fi fans out there.

Re: The Alien/Predator francises
Yeah I think Guillermo Del Toro is directing the new Predator and apparently Elton John is making Pride and Predator which is basically Jane Austins book with Predators in it
Pitch Black is an awesome film aint seen it years though..

Re: The Alien/Predator francises
Elton John why the only way it would be interresting would be if the Preds took out all the characters however I bet he'll have one as the infamous Mr Darcey. I have Pitch Black on DVD and its sequel but it was on Channel 4 the other day at 10 or 11 but I decided to watch it earlier so I could fit in the sequel to.

Re: The Alien/Predator francises
I've never read or watch pride & predjudice but it does sound like an interesting concept to add Predators to it lol Pitch Black was a great movie although the follow up,Chronicles of Riddick wasn't too bad but I don't think it had what PB did in terms of keeping you glued to the tv.

Re: The Alien/Predator francises
Yeah PB was more suspense filled. Pride and Prejudice I saw 1 minute of it on a bbc adaption and in that space of time became very bored and confused I have now got the AVP game on PS3 and I watched Predator last night can't wait to see the new one in July I think.

Re: The Alien/Predator francises
It is amazing try the Trophy Kills for Predator you can rip a marines skull and spine out on one of them it was origionally ment to be much gorrier when the trophy kill is inflicted but they had to tone it down so the Americans wouldn't ban it.

Re: The Alien/Predator francises
I know what you mean another cool trophy kill which isn't as common is like the spine removal only difference the pred shoves its claw through the bottom jaw and out the top of the skull and pulls the head off completely with nothing attached at all you can also use severed heads to open doors in the colony.
