Doyle?

Well when doyle controlled Meredith, could he only control her physical actions? She never produced any flames what so ever, unless doyle controlled her not to. And therefore he must be able to control the brain in some way to move actions and stop the ability from working as the ability is located in that very special spot in the back of the head.

I think Doyle can stop people from using their abilities if needed. After all he is forcing them to do what he wants and could be forcing her not to use her abiltiy. There is more to Doyles ability I think

so he could control the brain, theoretically except for telling it what to do?

Yeah, Although kida smiliar to Telepathy. A Telepath could make control someone to do something. Doyle can control people to do things to. Although both different.

so do you think that if doyle was supercharged he could be near enough a telepath?

Doubt it, maybe he could control everyone in the world

do you think he could stop a regen from healing?

He can control abilities which require physical action, I think. Like Emma would need to play an instrument to use hers, Meredith seemed to need movement so he just stopped her from turning her hand. Doubt it with regen, it's reflexive.

Although he may not be able to control stronger characters as seen with Sylar who seems to do something to his brain to incompacitate him.

Yeah, Sylar's seemed to be immune to a few similar powers though. Like persuasion only worked on him the first time, when he was also injured.
