There are two types of vampires in this world, along with several mixed-blood vampires, hybrids and part-humans.
Type 1
A Type 1 Vampire is produced by a human being bitten by another Type 1 Vampire. Their skin sparkles in the sunlight, and they have senses defined beyond those of humans. They are super fast, and super strong, but are not sensitive to light. They evade direct sunlight only because of how the sparkling can betray them. Their skin is solid, and feels like stone to a human, and they run at freezing temperatures. This skin is also impenetrable to almost anything. They are frozen in time and stuck at whatever physical age they were turned, which would make the women infertile, and they do not sleep, or require food, although blood is a necessity. Their eyes are red, when newborn, or upon feeding on human blood - which is forbidden. Their eyes turn to golden if they feed upon animal blood.
Known Type 1 Vampires
Type 2
To be turned into a Type 2 Vampire, one must be bitten by a pureblood, and being bitten by ex-humans has no effect. They are naturally nocturnal, and are sensitive to light, and do not sparkle. They react to direct extreme sunlight like a fair-skinned human would. They have softer skin than the stone Type 1 Vampires, and are less pale, and not cold. Their skin isn't impervious, but they heal rapidly from injuries and don't become ill from any human diseases. They require sleep, but fewer hours than a human does. The same applies to food. They tend to dream more than humans do, and have more vivid dreams. They are faster, and stronger than humans, and have more mental skill. They also tend to be proud. Their fangs and red eyes only appear in bloodlust, lust or aggression. Born type 2 vampires tend to age rapidly, reaching adulthood in about 5 years, and are then immortal. However, those who were turned as children will age much more slowly, but will still eventually reach adulthood before appearing to stop ageing. This is due to their healing repairing the signs of age. All type 2 women are still able to conceive.

Mixed-blood Vampires
A mixed-blood vampire tends to be the son or daughter of two vampires from different types, but it could also occur if one is bitten by both type of vampires before having had time to fully pass through the change. Mixed blood vampires tend to have half the skills and abilities of each species, so they do not get double the strength and double the speed, but half of each type's speed, and half of each type's strength, giving them effectively the same strength and speed as any normal vampire. The other traits - such as skin colour and texture and ability to turn humans - tend to be a mixture of the Type 1 and Type 2 traits, with the exact nature of the mixture depending on each individual. Their eyes always remain at their natural colouring. Mixed blood children tend to age at a similar rate to born type 2 vampires, but this depends upon the ratio.

Hybrid Vampires
Hybrid vampires are vampires who are part vampiric and part werecreature. This is solely hereditary, and is due to having one vampiric parent and one werecreature parent. Similarly to with mixed-blood vampires, these hybrids gain effectively the same level of speed and strength as any other supernatural being, by having half the werecreature strength and half the vampiric strength. Their traits and appearance also tend to reflect this half-nature, with an appearance between the 2 species, and the venom optional. However, every known hybrid has been able to shift into a wereform. Hybrids children are known to age extremely rapidly, depending on their exact hybridity, and can reach adulthood in a year or two, a month or even just a week.

Part-human Vampires
Part-human vampires are beings which are part-vampiric and part-human. This can either be due to heritage, with one human parent and one vampiric parent, or, more rarely, due to reincarnation. If a person dies while in the middle of transforming into a vampire, and then is reincarnated within their family, the resulting being will be a half-human. These tend to have half the strength, speed and accuracy of senses as full vampires, and in particular have limited healing. Venom is again optional, in the case of a type 1 half-human. They age rapidly, and tend to reach adulthood in a year or 2. It is possible for someone to be 3/4 human too, or a quarter.
