I was in a life conference. It's one of the 'perks' of going to a Catholic school

WTF is a life conference?

Basically:

Abortion is bad
Sex should only be within a loving relationship ie marriage
Teenage pregancy will destroy your life

Well I kinda believe in the abortion thing on moral grounds not religious grounds and in my mind only a few circumstances are acceptable to have an abortion but not most of the time. Sex thing . Teenage pregancy can kinda mess up your life....

Well, not really. I make it sound worse than it is. the abortion thing all they did really was tell us of the growth of the baby in the 9 months it is in the womb then they told us the methods of abortion.

Sex thing - outside marriage having sex with loads of people can mean STI's so within one relationship you're safe.

Teenage pregancy - a play in which a girl got pregnant. she fell out with her frineds, her parents through her out of the house, the guy didn't care and she had an abortion and regretted it later.

Guess so Still one sided though.

My friends parent didn't allow her to go. Her mum said she went to one of these things when she was younger and she was trumatised. thankfully the law doesn't allow them anymore to be so graphic. They watched videos of people having abortions and the babies in buckets afterwards. They weren't allowed to not look either.

I know. I don't think you understand why people are so opposed to religious schools unless you go to one.

It's the stuffing their religion down your throats I'd be opposed to. I hadn't thought of the other stuff.

Thankfully my RE teacher is one of the best in the school, if someone asks controversal questions, she'll answer them like a person not a bible pusher and she's really nice but then there are some teachers that are CRAZY. One year I had a sub RE teacher and the girls in my class wanted to doa balancing trick commonly called 'Black Magic'. she woulnd't let them and tole them if they did they would go to Hell.

Oh and trust me, there is a lot of other stuff.

That's insane......
