You press the number that's in the corner of their screen. Like, if you'd wanted to attack me in that loast game, press 2. Or press 1 to use the nicer ones on yourself.

do you pay to use them?

Nah. You earn then when you break blocks which have their symbols on them. But you have to have broken enough blocks to access them, too.

Really? When it's one player, press 2 to attack. Press 1 to help yourself, e.g. to delete rows or turn the grey ones to colour
