A bit annoyed at stupid americans for changing the name of the first harry potter film, because I just watched half a programme on finding Daniel Radcliffe to play Harry [apartently 40,000 kids auditioned for it], and I think there was one actual English person on the show, and then there were quotes from JK Rowling [and then one American person that insisted on putting on a ridiculously fake English accent]. And they called it the Sorcerer's stone the whole way through. That irritated me for some reason But I'm good, taa

Isn't that cause a philosopher is something else in American?

i heard it was because philiosopher is mostly a term used in england and american children were unfamiliar with that term and were mostly familiar with sorcer instead.

Yeah, I know it's something like that, it just annoyed me I had absolutely no idea what Philosopher meant when i first read the book, but I pieced it together

I've only ever really heard it used in context of the stone Which is weird, cause in mythology the people who used it were called alchemists, not philosophers or sorcerors
