New site layout?

I just wondered if someone that runs this site knows how to change the layout. The background is black, and I guess it is okay for a while. But I wondered, isn´t it a little boring? Wouldn´t it be better if the background was another colour. It wouldn´t have to be that of a change, just so this sites look more...living. And I have seen a couple of you work with banners and stuff at the graphic section here on the forum. Wouldn´t one of them fit this site perfectly instead of the current banner?

We tried having images as a background before, but it was impossible to remove the colour block in the middle, so it'd cut the picture up and end up looking a bit stupid. I guess we could change the title picture, though, if anyone has any suggestions.
