And the technician was on the computer, snooping on teachers files and he found them. Cus he needs to write refferences for us too so he was checking what she wrote to copy them, and we started reading them too.

Aren't the references not meant to be just copies of other references though? That kinda defeats the point. Unless the technician just didn't know what to say or wasn't sure?

obviously he will change them a bit, but he was just looking at what she wrote to get a better understanding of what he was going to write.

But we saw the whole classes and some of them were bad

What were the bad ones like?

one person, she wrote something like:

he has no desire to learn the subject and i am not sure that he wants to go to university. And something like; i do not believe he will be able to do university level work.

Guess they have a duty to be honest though, if that is the truth

you can be honest but you don't have tp be that honest. I mean you crushing their furture by writing that.

I'm guessing it's realistic, tbh. If it's that brutal.

Do your schools have a kinda policy of trying to push everyone to go to university, and only offering help for those applications not for jobs or apprenticeships? Ours did. If they do, I'm kinda wondering if that teacher felt the kid'd been pressurised into applying even though it didn't really suit him.
