I think it automatically logs you out if the computer's shut down for long enough. Maybe also if it's locked. And I'm beginning to think mine says I'm offline even if I've just gone to a different tab

i always lock my computer, even if i just go to get some water. Even if im watching telly and its on my lap i lock it- kind of force of habit.

I only lock it when I can be bothered No one normally comes up to the attic except me, so I don't really have to.

I never lock mine - only tend to turn off the screen. That tricks most people into thinking its off without me having to actually turn it off

I don't know if that can be done on laptops And yeah, I used to be paranoid about it, I'd lock it everytime I'd leave the room Only started not doing that when I began watching stuff online, cause then it'd stop loading.

It works on mine - turn the brightness down until the screen's off I used to do that, as well - used to close the screen anytime I had to leave it
