I would say that the venom spreads, and will kill an animal, the par example is the WEREWOLVES! WOLVES!!!

Yeah, that's what I said. Why else would it be fatal for them, if it wasn't a part of the wolf heritage?

Actually, it's more likely that the venom kills the werewolves as part of a "better die than become the enemy" theology. But I still think it'd kill a normal animal too. Else they'd have vampire bears and mountain lions running about.
