Swift raced on, heading instinctively into the deepest part of the forest. She didn't know it, but she'd started to fade into the scenery she passed, like a chameleon.

Malinda flew low, racing towards Swift, but not to bring her back. She hadn't flown like this in ages, with the cold wind running over her wings and skin. She smiled and laughing.

Swift ran in further, imagining the sounds of pursuit even though she knew it'd be impossible to hear them. She'd been such an idiot to trust them!

Dawn gathered Christian onto her back and charged after the girl. She was a brilliant hunter so she could find her in no time. Christian hung on for dear life. Soon Dawn was galloping along next where she could hear the girl. However, she couldn't see her properly.
"Where are you?" she yelled. "What are you doing?"

Malinda woke up. She climbed to her feet and looked into the small pond nearby. There was a large bruise forming on the left side of her face. She winced as she touched.

Swift tensed, holding her breath. Not realising what she'd done, she didn't understand how Dawn supposedly couldn't see her. It entered her mind that the centaur could be pretending, for some unknown reason. But neither her not Christian were focusing on Swift......what was happening?
