Avril flitted over to the window, propelling herself to the floor, and flitting across to the guardhouse. She pratically pushed down the door, searching for Poppy. She sat up, in the bed she was lying on, even though she didn't use it.
What's wrong? she asked, furtivly.

Slowly, Tannith began to recover. Her breathing restarted and eased, and her eyes opened, staring around in disbelief.

When she released her hands, Poppy looked faint, ill, huge bags under her eyes, her eyes a dark black, darkening at the second. Avril looked at the girl, worry on her features. She flitted out of the room, fetching 10 packets of donated blood. She handed half to Tannith, when she returned, and half to Poppy. Poppy tore the tops off of hers, with her teeth, and began gulping the blood.

Tannith silently accepted hers and downed it, worry and grief written evidently all over her face. As she couldn't help but look around the room, it's emptiness seemed an accusation, reminding her of her failure.
