The clock was ticking and after seeing this new Adam, David felt nervous. Nervous of what he was getting into and what could happen. Only the future could tell, if this would turn out well or bad.

Okay, replied Liz, knowing she should probably go, too. Call me if you hear anything, alright?

I will do, she promised, breaking down just as she hung up. The receiver slipped from her numb fingers, crashing down onto its cradle.

Stephan grinned wrily, remembering the previous one well, as he would have. The last time, he'd ended up with an entire round of bullets to the chest.

I'll try, he laughed, partially forced, but Stephan said nothing of it. They gathered their gear and left the building, driving to their target's last known location. On the way, they rehashed the plan over and over, and made mental notes of all they knew of this man. There wasn't much point in ensuring they had no "hives" with them, since he was almost certain of keeping some, but they were doing it anyway.

Dropping those tasers and going for the next, they fired again. But these, too, failed. A round of bullets came from nowhere diving at them, and Eoin barely managed to make them miss.

Yeah, just tired a bit from the fight. Help me carry him down to the van.

Stephan did so, and chose not to mention that he hadn't just been asking about the aftermath of the battle.

David was at work and then he bumped into the same person he did previously in the same coridoor "Oh, hello." David said.

"Hi David. You still on for tonight?" He asked.

David nodded, unsure what others will make of it in the work. He continued on with his work and went on the following mission.

Hey, Rooreru greeted, walking out of the bedroom over to him. Her smile was forced, but a well-made forced one. How was work?

He answered the forced question, explaining that they'd caught the hive manipulator this time, the same one who'd injured Stephan previously.

David went out on the mission, unsure what they had to do since he skip read most of the notes. He followed his partner and went to the destination. All they had to do was check up on an evolved human.
