Rooreru laughed again, scooping her son up and kissing his cheek. It was almost crazy, but she'd missed him even in the minutes she'd been gone - a lingering effect of when he'd been missing, both times. She was almost certain of being a paranoid mother, now.

Liz went to pick up Shiv, as well, but she seemed more interested in showing Aito her kitten, even though Cat wasn't here right now. She kept gabbling half formed sentences that didn't make any sense to anyone that couldn't read her mind
