Sheldon looked sheepish as he left, apologising a little, but he didn't feel sorry.. she had had to be told, even if it had ruined their friendship. Lola slammed the door on him, and went and curled up on her bed, wondering why he had had to tell her that.. it wasn't his business. It was a few hours before she began to actually think about what he had said, and not the fact that he had said it. Maybe he was right.. maybe she had been expecting too much from her dad. It took a while for her to swallow her pride, but she called for a cab, and went downstairs to wait before she could chicken out

I couldn't deny that my life had truly changed, I had changed, in gaining this ability to read others. But I didn't know what it should mean for me. How would my life change? Was I meant to do something, now? I felt like I had no answers, none at all.

And I didn't know where or who to turn to for guidance, either. I'd always been so self-sufficient before, and I hadn't let myself lean on others. I'd always handled things. And now things were crazy like I'd never believed they could be. Remembering briefly meeting that Jennifer girl and her saying she'd believed these gifts were curses, I was now for the first time beginning to understand what she'd meant.

(Rajan, your recruit guy and my recruit guy can rp. Because Ace was the first recruit he is going to be higher rank than everyone else. And Tyler can ask Ace to choose someone to be the same rank as him, so two leads the group because it isn´t so big yet. Then there is going to be more, but then Ace and your char could train the others. Or you could just be trained by Ace if you don't want to be a higher rank. Your choice!)

Sighing, I shook my head and dismissed these thoughts, heading home. When I switched the TV on, there was another news report on Crescent Organisation, this new company the government was supporting. Personally, it gave me the chills. I switched the channel, only to be faced with a recruitment advert for that company, which made me throw the remote against the wall in anger.

I switched the TV off, not able to find anything which wasn't Crescent Organisation orientated, and moved to begin preparing food. Seeing the red light beeping on my phone, I noticed I had a message. I smiled slightly as I played it and recognised Luke's voice.

Making a mental note to call him back afterwards, I returned to fixing my meal, then ate it and cleared up. Then I called Luke. I wondered what he'd want. We'd parted so much better this time than any of the previous 2 times, but I still wasn't completely sure of where we both stood.
