The argument that ensued was enormous - it began with Boston criticising Pippy and she began crying, trying to explain how awful she felt. Boston didn't begin to empathise until she started shouting back, bringing up old arguments that hadn't been settled. Their fight continued through the night, and by the time morning came, it hadn't been resolved. Pippy left for work at eight, before Boston was awake and returned home only when she was sure he was at work. However, when he returned home that afternoon, the two barely spoke. And the second Boston opened his mouth, they were arguing again - all Boston wanted to know was how she could cheat on him and all Pippy wanted was for him to understand she had never intended to hurt him.
He scoffed that off, dismissing that suggestion with the answer that she had told him. Pippy didn't cry this time, finding her insults were flowing much more freely now. Pippy began to complain when Boston lit a cigarette, then promptly stole one from his pack and began smoking herself. That was the only real silence between the two of them. At one point, both started laughing at how ridiculous it was - and then began arguing over how they were wrong to laugh.
By the time the question of them ending their relationship came around, Pippy was out of tears and Boston's throat too hoarse to shout. This is it? he said, his tone impossible to read. Pippy could see hurt in his eyes, but his voice was oddly soft, almost like he was comforting her.
I guess so, came Pippy's mumbled response, her words slow to come. She was filled with doubts as she spoke, wondering where she would go now - continue working 8 hour shifts at MacLarens to try and make ends meet.. or would she almost undoubtedly slip back to Sylar?
