To distract herself, Liz spent the time going threw her closet, trying to find a dress she could wear to Sinead's party. She tried on a few dresses - the first was a new one she hadn't actually had an occasion to wear it for before, and the other two were older ones, that she hadn't worn in a few years. Liz peaked in the mirror, trying to decide which was her favourite - she jumped when she spotted Cat, shaking her head dismissively
You definitely need a new dress, commented Cat.

Hanging up the phone, she proceeded to phone Rooreru and Eoin, inviting them too, then some of Sean's sisters and some friends from work. She wondered whether or not to invite David, or if Adam and Liz would find that too awkward. She'd never really asked what kind of terms they currently had with him.

Eventually, she did decide to invite him, since it did seem that Shiv had a lot of contact with her father, anyway. Sinead didn't know how his invite was going to get lost in the mail

A few days passed, and soon it was the day of the party. Sinead rushed through getting herself ready, splurged through the house on decorations - even more than there were already - then fussed and cooed over the twins' dresses.

Liz had gotten ready early, in anticipation for the struggle with Shiv. She used her best persuasive tactics - Aito will be there. Shiv had spent the morning tearing into each one of her presents, with the biggest smile on her face. After Liz had finished changing her, she looked at her reflection in the mirror and shook her head. When Liz looked back, she'd changed.
