World 4 - Vampires and Wolves - RP

Hope began looking around for Mason but as soon as she realised that he was not in she left to hunt.

You can check though, can't you? Lyla asked. Seeing her mother's confused look, she confused. Ask Astarte to summon her, have a trap ready. If she's living, she won't be able to resist it.

They continued to wait, tensed, for several minutes. The minutes became half an hour. Finally, Tannith couldn't hold back anymore.

It didn't work? she asked. Astarte shook her head.

I was blocked, she answered. The woman.... Anna Malus is dead.

(Cool Where's Bea and Harry?)

It was the next day, Mason surprisingly didn't look as gloomy as usual instead perched on his face was a smile, a wide beaming smile that did not escape his face. He walked over the hills with a stick in his hand which swung anti-clockwise. He sat at the top of the hill looking down at Japan below admiring the breathtaking view. For some reason, Mason even felt like God to be a powerful being stronger and faster than humans with a power that only people could dream to possess, this feeling of ecstasy ran through him. Behind him lay a forest which only came to his attention when he heard the rustle of leaves being crunch from the sound of footsteps, his wide beam went wider. From the distance stood a beautiful woman, his goddess. It was Hope.

Hope walked over to her mate and they embraced in a hug and a kiss. "How did you know I was here?" Mason said.

"It doesn't take a genius to find out where you are. I am a vampire remember with a lot of skills." Hope winked and kissed him playfully.

"A spell?"

"If you got it then use it aye. Anyway- why are you here anyway?" She asked but the view said it all. Hope tried not to get too distracted by the view and turned to face Mason but that didn't help either. "Something has happened to Erin. I don't know ow b-but she, well, she has lost her power. It doesn't work and she can't phase either. It's like she is human." Hope said. Mason looked as shocked as she when she had just found out.

It wasn't long before she'd decided to completely discard that idea. She didn't even want to run the risk of telling it to Erin. What if Erin insisted upon trying it, and she was poisoned? The younger woman could be reckless, sometimes.

Mason's pause branched on longer than Hope had anticipated. 

"She was scratched and it seems to have been someone with Anna's power, or Anna herself." Hope said.

"But Anna's dead, it can't be her." Mason replied. "It can't be." He added.

"I don't know." Hope said nervously. "We don't know how to reverse it." 

Mason looked at her thinking of what Erin must be going through. He couldn't truly imagine how she was feeling. "She must be distraught." He took a breath. "Or grateful."

Hope's face turned sour. She shot a distinct disapproving and confused look at Mason's direction. "Grateful, for what?"

"Well, her gift. Although we have these gifts at times they can become a burden, more so for Erin than all of us could imagine. Imagine the relief of knowing that you won't be choking and in pain when faced with a lie and we all know how much people do lie."

She returned to the clearing, but there was no sign of Erin by now. She'd left. Searching for Harry, probably, or maybe Bea. Tannith sighed. She hadn't even known what she was intending on telling her, anyway. That they had no idea what had happened? No idea of how to solve it? That disappointment would just be cruel. She'd never considered that it could be seen as a good thing, even with Erin's ability and how that had hurt her in the past. She'd seen too much of mortality, of humanity, recently. Kirk had hated it, both times Anna had weakened him. Avril had seemed to be dying, years ago, when an illness had temporarily made her appear human. And her own frail humanity had killed when when she'd caught a similar virus.

Hope couldn't help to agree in a small way no matter how much she hated the idea of Erin being grateful. But Hope wasn't Erin and she didn't have to live with the burden of being fearful for what a person may say every moment of the day.

"I guess you're right." 

Too much of Mason's surprise he didn't expect her to agree at all. "Really?" he said.

"Well I've seen her when she chokes up and it's horrendous. I hate seeing her go through something like that." Hope lay into Mason's arms.

"Don't worry, we'll find a way to fix it."

"I hope so." She said. Although Erin may not have missed the choking and near death experiences she felt whilst being lied to, Hope couldn't escape the fact that Erin must of hated being human and not having the speed or strength she once had.

The two held hands and began walking around the hills, below them was a scenery that any person would be jealous to see. The pair felt like gods in that very moment. Hope released her hand from Mason's and began dancing around the fields.

"What are you doing?" Mason laughed.

"Dancing. What does it look like?" She said twirling in the fields.

"Come here." Mason said, he ran up to Hope and kissed her romantically. They both dropped to the ground and rolled about kissing each other.

They both didn't realise where the time had passed until it reached sunset. Mason held Hope as they watched the sun fall gracefully in the orange-lit sky.

"Shall we head back?" Hope asked. Mason nodded and they both flitted back home.
