World 12: Spies - RP Thread

Soon they were driving to HQ. Neil was pretty quiet during the drive, trying to avoid thinking about the feelings that was bubbling up to the surface. He couldn't express them, so why focus on them. Or could he?

As usual, Tyler focused his energies into reckless maniacal driving as they returned back to HQ. He parked, got out of the vehicle and headed upstairs to give his first report. His would be the first received as he was team leader. He was fully expecting to get chewed out for getting himself caught.

Neil, George and Laura, all sat around a table, drinking coffee and waiting for Tyler to finish his meeting. The silence were deadly, or at least the tension between Laura and Neil was. George just looked uneasy over the whole thing. After a couple of minutes, he said something to break it, the silence that was making all of them on edge.

"Can't you two have sex allready? That should relieve some of this suffocating tension between you two. It is almost literally killing me over here."

Neil couldn't help but laugh, seeing for whom he actually had feelings for. Neil started to wonder, if Laura didn't have the exact same person and feelings for him as he did. Maybe that was why they were so bitchy to each other.

Laura just looked at George and then at Neil, but she couldn't help a little smile from spreading across her face as she took a zip from her espresso.

Tyler arrived back a few minutes later, and didn't hear what George had just said, or he'd be choking on air over it.

(Have to go to sleep now, but tomorrow we can continue, I hope. Night. )

Laura was next, and so she raise from her seat and left the little of her espresso that was left before she, with confident steps walked to where Tyler just had arrived from.

George laughed at Tyler's clueless expression. Soon Laura returned and George was sent next. He raised from his seat and left the others.

Neil stopped Tyler when he asked and said. "I already got...got you one." he stretched out a arm with a coffee mug in it, that easily could have been missed and smiled. He hated himself for stuttering. Tyler was making him even more nervous than usual.

Neil didn't want to admit it, but he had been analyzing what Tyler like for sort of coffee and it was his favorite he had ordered, with specific details. He hoped it wouldn't seem to weird or anything. He didn't exactly want to freak him out. He was interrupted in his thoughts by George return and then Neil raised from his chair and went to finish the day by making a statement. He made his statement and told it as it was, and tried making Tyler look as good as he possibly could and making it his fault by saying that he should have been more alert and aware of his surroundings. Soon, they let him go and he returned to the others.

While they were waiting, he asked George how his debriefing had gone. He also mentioned that he'd been warned that they could be receiving some new team members within the week.

George seemed surprised, but didn't react badly to the idea. "New teammates? Who? And is there any special reason for the two to join?"

Neil entered the room and overheard George question. "New teammates?"

Laura reacted differentely than the others, sarcastically she answered. "Yay, more people like Neil."

George nodded, Neil ignored Lauras insult and seemed positive to the change. George said that he should probably get a move on to wife. Laura stayed for a while, but soon she went home as well. Neil sat and continued drinking, his now cold coffee. He felt like it was time to tell Tyler something about how he felt, but the words were stuck in his throat and wouldn't come out. So he just sat there, like a fool, like he was waiting for something. And soon Tyler would say goodnight and go as well, and then he would just sit silently before answering awkwardly. Why was he such a coward...?

Neil opened his mouth to say what was on his mind but then closed it. After a couple of minutes he opened it again and actually got out a sound that sounded like a cryptic word of some sort before closing his mouth once again. instead, he focused on his coffee mug and felt how his palms got sweaty as they always did when he was nervous.

Neil gulped and then looked up and directly into Tyler's deep, hazel eyes. His blood immediately started pumping through his body, giving him an adrenaline rush that made him shiver. Emotions flowed like running water in a crane and Neil had a hard time to get himself together again.

Tyler's eyes were distracting and confident. His entire being was distracting and confident and it only made him more nervous to gaze upon him. He radiated of kidness and a strong sense of identity that for the second time that day almost made Neil dizzy. Oh god...

"Tyler, I... I have thought..noticed something lately." Neil took a break and once again looked down at his coffee mug and waited for it to give him strength but was sadly dissapointed. He forced himself to look up at a patient Tyler. Neil's blue eyes wandered around the room insecurely and focused on details like a chair not standing as the others or a computer left on while the others were off.

But then he was getting angry at himself for being such a coward again, so he forced himself to take a deep breath which felt like breathing under water and then said an entire sentance in one sweep with just a little stuttering giving away his try of a strong and curageous frontage. "I like...like you Tyler."

Neil felt like something had been lifted inside him the moment after he had named his affection out loud just to be replaced with this feeling of vulnerability, like he was showing of his soul to a person, opening up himself and waiting for someone to close it or embrace it. And having the person sitting here and repeating his own words in disbelief back at him, made his body and soul tighten up and prepare itself for some sort of damage, some sort of emotional stab.

"I don't just see you as..as a supe..perior or a team..mmember. I see you as something more and have been for a while." Neil noticed that if he just spit out everything that popped in his mind, then his stuttering dissapeared temporarily.

So he just closed his eyes and continued, afraid to be hurt if he stopped. His words got faster and more intense and emotion was leaking through, like his frontage now was broken and seeping out was everything he had held burrowed inside. "I know it is against regulations, that it is wrong and I don't even know if you like me in that kind of way and, and...and" Neil was desperately trying to come up with something more to ramble on about so that Tyler wouldn't be able to laugh at him. Laugh or turn what he said against him.

Deep down he knew Tyler wouldn't do something like that. But he had never opened up or trusted someone as he trusted Tyler and if he didn't feel the same way, then Neil didn't know how he would handle it.

Neil was stopping at his repeated "ands" as Tyler had raised from his seat and kissed him. He had reflexively taken his arms up in the air untill his body reacted to Tylers. the nervousness he had felt before melted away while his other emotions was heightened to the limit of man. He almost thought he would faint untill his arousal, confusion, euphoria, all other emotions that had been seeping through that frontage collided and increased his adrenaline even higher. His thoughts were shut off as his body took over.

First he forced himself to back away from Tyler's satisfactorily kiss and looked once again at his deep hazel eyes that now was so close that they, together with Tyler's scent and being, intoxicated him. But now, instead of feeling dizzy, he felt energized. It was like Tyler had rubbed off his confidence on Neil. He lowered his arms and put them on Tyler's waists as he pulled him closer and repayed with his own kiss.

Neil hadn't even thought about other peopel untill Tyler let go, Neil's body having reacted similar to their kissing. His heart was racing and he was too out of breath. In addition, the adrenaline hadn't really wore off yet, so Neil's eyes was almost glowing with energy, even though he was physically and mentally exhausted. "Wow." was all he could say after Tyler had let go and the reality was starting to come back to him.
