Avril bowed before the Malus, and looked them each in the eye.

(Do u want me to speak 4 them all? Or one of them? Two of them? Any of them?)

(You can speak for them)

Following suit, Tannith also bowed, much as she hated to do so. It felt like kissing ass.

I thank you for allowing me to speak with you, Malus, she began.

No thanks needed, said Theron, graciously. Eldridge looked concerned, and little bored.

How may we help you, young ones? asked Eldridge.

Their humans? inquired Theron.

One of the coven sniffed Erin's track and they sped up a little to catch her up. They smelt that she had been chasing rabbits in the woods, but she was gone now, back into Beverly Hills. They decided to go after her... once they had fed themselves. The younger vampires left it to the older ones to deal with Lucy and went off a little way to track prey.

"So... um..." Lucy said.

"We're going to hunt." Tetsuo said honestly. "We were wondering if you would like taking back to the house or whether you don't mind staying, or whether you would hunt yourself. You are a werecreature..."

Lucy thought about this for a moment, chewing her lip and staring at a leaf on a tree to one side. After a little while, she looked back to Tetsuo and his mate Shinju.

"I'll hunt with you." she said. "But... may I watch first? I haven't done this before, or at least I can't remember doing this. I don't know if I could cope."

"Of course." Shinju said, with a nod. Madison signalled to them that they had found something and they walked over to the others.

Can't you just taken her? asked Eldridge, ruthlessly.

I am aware of that.

Eldridge, do not play. You are aware of your decision, already. Theron frowned.

I have decided. You can tell them, but you must promise that if they take it badly, if something goes wrong, you will kill them before any harm can be caused. Do you promise?

After watching them hunt for a while, Lucy discovered she wasn't as disgusted as she thought she would be so she decided to see if she could hunt too. She knew she had to. She couldn't live completely off of human food.

She also discovered she wasn't too bad at hunting prey. Instinctively she found she knew how to keep down wind and how to move silently. After a few minutes, she was close enough to pounce. so she did.

As she pounced, a huge feline roar ripped out of her and she was transformed mid-leap into a huge black leopard/jaguar-like creature. She was black all over but when the light hit her silky smooth coat, there was a slightly purple appearance to it like on a starling's feathers. Her eyes were a deep orange amber and they were wild, intense and flashed like fire.

The vampires watched her as she ate, marvelling at the beauty of her coat. After she had finished, Madison approached her cautiously.

"Lucy?"

Then you may leave, and you may tell them. Goodbye, young Tannith. Goodbye, Avril. He sighed, as if bored by the conversation, already. Avril looked solemn, and -unhappily - bowed again. She waited for Tan to leave, so she could follow.
