The man pinned her against the wall. She tried to fight back, use her ability, but she was too scared to focus enough. Her breath came out raggedly, and her heart was pounding. Adrenaline flooded through her. Her pupils dilated, allowing her to see in perfect, terrible clarity, every detail of the scene where she was being attacked.

Desperately, she kicked out. She missed the first time, but she second time she'd had chance to aim and she hit him in the crotch. The man grimaced in pain, his face livid, fatal. Before she knew it, he'd grabbed a nearby rock and slammed it against her head. She fell to the ground, blacking out for a second, and recovered to see blood streaming thickly into her eyes. She couldn't think, she could hardly breathe. She had no chance. The attacker grinned savagely, and began kicking her, beating her. She was thrown around the ground, dragged over broken glass. One was driven into her eye. They kicked, again and again, her ribs splintering, her organs crushed, her skull caved in........soon, she knew no more.

At the car, one agent got in the back and the other agent waited for Lyle to get in so he could sit on the other side of him. The car was wide enough for all 3 to be quite comfortable next to each other with sufficient knee room. It would be only them and the driver in the car.

The other agent got in and closed the door. The driver started the car and began driving them to their location. The windows in the back were black so that you couldn't see out and there was a division so that you couldn't look out the front. The driver used a camera instead of a mirror to see the back of the car and so he could still drive properly.
A few seconds into the journey, the agents reached into compartments and pulled out some bags of nuts and bananas. They offered Lyle some.

Once he'd realised Rooreru wasn't with him, Keitaro had ran back, swearing at himself under his breath for leaving her, effectively abandonning her. By the time he reached her, the assailants had left. He ran to her, kneeling beside her, horrified by the state she was in. Immediately, he placed both hands on her skin and tried to heal her. However, no connection came.

He almost broke down crying when he realised why. He couldn't save her. He was too late. Despite hearing footsteps approaching, he didn't look up. He couldn't. His own sister, and he couldn't save her! What was the point of having an ability now? Bitterly, he wished he could be stronger, somehow, that he could make himself strong enough to save her.
