World 8 - Cautionary Tales

Where does it come from—this quest, this need to solve life's mysteries when the simplest of questions can never be answered? Why are we here? What is the soul? Why do we dream? Perhaps we'd be better off not looking at all. Not delving, not yearning. But that's not human nature. Not the human heart. That is not why we are here.heart. That is not why we are here.

Everywhere around the globe, oridnary people are manifesting extraordinary abilities. These people will have to cope living day and night with these abilities, some will fail some will sucseed, some will go on to do bad things, and slolwy slip into darkness, where as others will use their abilitiy to save the world and change it forever.........they will become H E R O E S.
In this world you have just manifested. If you think trying to live an ordinary life is hard enough then think again. The company is planning to realse strain 138 also known as the Shanti Virus. The virus stips away peoples abilities, and then eventually kills them. The Company are experimenting with the virus and if it is ever to be realsed then it will cross overto the general population killing 93% of the worlds population .

I walk across the empty land. I am walking with Lauren Gilmore my partner in crime so to speak and over all good friends "Any sign of the Precog?" I shake my head "No, but it would be a hell of a lot easier with a partner who could breathe fire, or grow fungus from his hands!" Lauren laughed "Fungi? really?" "We can't stay out here all day!, Its getting late, hot and im angry!" I start to drink a bottle of water "Woah, calm down Hulk boy, we are getting close okay?"

Honey? purred a woman, tapping my shoulder. My aunt. I explode into a hug. My iPod falls off my lap, as I charge into her arms. The first family I'd had in nearly 6 months.

I missed you, too, Pippa. She hugged me back, and patted my head. Next was the uncomfortable greeting of my cousins. I never knew how to greet them. Hugging them seemed weird, but shaking hands was odder, so we usually nodded, and just muttered, "Hello". But today wasn't the day for shiness, so I literally charged at Daniel, too.

He hugged me back, looking bemused, and Randall laughed, as I hugged him, too. Uncle Gareth kissed my cheek.

I stop time for a second, just to think. I needed to think. Knowing now what to do i bought time back in place, and rush him in. The man screams in pain as the blood doesnt stop.

We pulled up in front of a gorgeous white brick house. It was quite old, and pretty. A garage was built in the front. Daniel offered to show me round.
