Alejandro, could he stop other powers?

I know he's dead but if he was still alive, could he stop other's powers like he could with Maya?
Was it ever explained or answered or questioned?

Doubt so, else they would have developed it, maybe have him stop Sylar's after they returned. I'm guessing he could just safely absorb and neutralise whatever poison Maya released.

No. His ability was the antidote to Maya's, and there are still question bout if it was an actual ability, or if he just calmed her down. But what he did was calm Maya down. Cos they were twins, I have a feeling his ability would b the antidote to hers. Kinda like Shanti was the sick child - Maya, in this case, even tho she werent ill - and Mohinder was the rescue child - Alejandro, cept he just antidoted Maya, like Mohinder could have antidoted Shanti's virus...

He did absorb it though, you could see it going into him and fading in his eyes

Yeah, which is why I agree. Cos he helped her. But he wasn't the Haitian, so he couldn't block abils.

Poison Absorption I call it
To make it less crappy in comparison to other abilities in some people's eyes, in W1 I have him immune to illnesses and diseases too.

I think once it's inside her body her own poison kills the virus though. With Alejandro he might just be walking round with it, infective

he has to touch maya in order to absorb the posion, and then you see it enter his eyes. the writers wanted their powers to be linked.

if he could stop them that means nobody would of gotten hurt when maya was around. He has to suck up the posion in emma, so his power was probably posion invunerability or something

You also saw the poison returning into Maya after she learned to take it back in. And people didn't get hurt, if Alejandro could get to Maya before her victims died.
