RULES:
1. No god-modding. This means you can't control other people's characters or take over a world. For example, instead of posting "I attacked Bob, shooting him and killing him", post "I shot at Bob, aiming for his head". This gives Bob's RPer a chance to react, and find a way to save and protect Bob if he or she wants to.
2. No Mary Sues or Gary Stus (male Mary Sues). This means your characters must have weaknesses and must occasionally need help. They can't be perfect. In practice, this means that the Weaknesses section of the profiles must be included and filled in.
3. Every main character needs either a profile or a wiki page, or both, giving information. These don't have to be fully made before RPing, but must be done soon.
4. Stick to the number of abilities your RP thread allows you to have, unless you have a world moderator's consent to have a multiple ability/more abilities than normal there.
Note on rule number 4:
5. Give someone a recap of what has happened in RP recently when they come back online. Give new members a recap of the world before they begin RPing there. You have to give some sort of recap if someone asks.
6. Don't communicate with or use other people's characters or OCs when they are offline unless you have their permission. However, it's Ok to say leave the character a voicemail message. It is also Ok to simply react to a person's last post.
7. Mention when you are going offline. If you can't (e.g. sudden power cut) please say so when you return.
8. Only rescue someone if they ask for help or if you have their permission. Don't interfere in people's SLs without their consent.
9. Try to make your posts and SLs at least a little bit detailed. Describe scenes, the character's thoughts and emotions etc. Do this especially when interacting with a telepath or empath, since it'll help that character's RPer.
10. You can't change your powers once you've chosen them, unless one of the abilities enables this, or there is a SL associated with the change. e.g. losing an ability and regaining a different one, or an ability not being fully identified at first. Also, powers cannot be changed often even with SLs, unless they're due to an alternating ability.
11. Please try to speak in proper English. Don't use text speech when roleplaying.
12. Make sure when you are speaking out of character (like asking a user 'Wuu2?' on RP) that it is easy to tell that you are. Do this by using brackets. Also, try to put a character's speech in bold, and actions or descriptions in italic.
13. Use of canons is restricted depending on which world. In World 1, small canons can be borrowed temporarily, as long as it doesn't alter canon too much. Main canons are completely off limits. In World 2, World 3 and World 11, most canons are freely available, apart from a handful who belong to a particular roleplayer. In World 8 and World 5, all canons belong to someone. Canons aren't relevant to any of the other worlds, but it is still possible to have OCs based on any of them. In each case, the previous roleplay history of the canon must be followed, and you must ensure no one else is using them at the same time.
14. Please do not post questions about characters in the Profiles threads, or make specific threads for questions about the RP in the different worlds sections. The Profiles threads are for profiles only. If you have any questions, ask them in the RP Discussions section or in brackets in the main RP threads, ask in another section of the forum such as General Chat or PM someone about it.

RP= Role-play
RL= Real life
AU= Alternate universe
POV= Point of view

- World 2 (Reflections) = 3 abilities per character.
- World 3 (Renegade) = 4 abilities per character.

- World 5 (The Formula) = 1 ability per character.
- World 6 (Awakened) = Depends on the species and the individual.
