Edward, is fridig as hell. Dean, kills vampires. Edward, is a vampire. Dean, fights monsters. Edward, won't even fight the vampire government shit. Dean, was strong enough to leave the people he loved to keep them safe. Edward, knows he's a threat, but is too selfish to save lives.

Literally from 6months old he has lived this life of hunting. He had every reason to whine a little. His dad was BARELY there for them. His dad LOVED him. But vengeance was buried deep in his father. After discovering that you live in a world where monsters exist, wouldn’t you want to fight it til the end?
Sam got a break. He went to school. But in the end he knew his old life would catch up to him. This is how he lost the love of his life. Vengeance than consumed him.
HE HAS EVERY RIGHT TO WHINE. No one wants this life. But both Dean and Sam are probably happy to live a life where they can save peoples lives and at least have each other.
BTW he doesn’t whine that much. YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVEN’T WATCHED SPN.

So what’s it all add up to? It’s hard to say. But me, I’d say this was a test… for Sam and Dean. And I think they did all right. Up against, Good, Evil, angels, devils, Destiny, and God himself, they made their own choice. They chose family. And, well… isn’t that kinda the whole point? No doubt—endings are hard. But then again… nothing ever really ends, does it?
