New wiki abilities format

i just looked on there and he seems that he thinks im a sutbborn bastard

i did consider the idea but then when i realised all the changes i didnt like it

I know. You 2 did seem to be arguing over nothing, but never mind. I know what you mean, we have tried it, but I agree that it was easier to follow earlier. I just don't know how we'd prove to him that we are technically the majority even though we're only 2 members.

link him to here, and anyway he should undo his changes hes not even a member- not being rude or anything but he seems to just be coming in and changing everything it also seems that he didnt even ask/take time to ask everybody about his new idea and just started to do what he likes.

He is technically a member of the wiki, even if he isn't a member here.

And technically, he did suggest the idea before, and ask for opinions. Though he said he'd only change one page first, to demonstrate the idea, and maybe he should have stuck to that.

also being a mmeber of the wiki allows you to edit other sites i have been known to edit twilight wiki

ive also editted charmed- but tht was for getting pictures that have been uploaded previously and deleted so i could get them save them and then remove them from where i editted

So that's how you get all those pictures It'd be too much of an effort for me

although it sounds long its like a 30 second process, i ave to do it quick enough so people dont notice that there is a random picture on a page that is not relevant to it and then remove it from there or else they might shout at me

I wonder if he's ever going to be willing to alter it back. Now he's just claiming that you're all "just reluctant to change", and I don't know if he even realises that I'm another person asking him to reverse it.

I get his point about how limited control of an ability shouldn't get a separate page - but we don't do that!! For example, limited physical adaptation is only termed that because I couldn't think of another term. It only, and only ever will, adapt to life-threatening situations. Hayley could never advance the ability to turn into say Jack's.

Similarly, with the Advanced abilities. From how I see it, there is a significant difference between Advanced Cloning and Cloning, between Advanced TK and just TK. Too much of a difference, for me, for it just to be classed as varying degrees of development in the same ability.

but i've suggested a 'core ability' idea. Do you think he'll be alright with that?

I think that could work - it was actually something like that I thought he intended when he first suggested it. But I don't know how he'll react to the idea. And sorry for the mini essay on the page before

i totally agree some abilities are just different and are limited to other abilities. like your example limited physical adapatation is a different ability altogether than jacks. Even i know that, same with Vallerie's and Jacks.

He seems to like Dana's new idea of having another category, Core Abilities, where you list the main ability types with links to their varieties on those pages.

From my understanding, it's like a page for all abilities related to fire. And then a page for everything related to water. Etc. If I understood that right

Basically, now we have the Categories of Families, Groups, Worlds, Abilities etc. The idea is that we make another Category, Core Abilities. There, you'd put pages of like:

• Shapeshifting Abilities
  
• Defensive Abilities
  
• Mental Abilities
  
• Teleporting Abilities

etc.

These would then link to pages which would define what the core ability is, e.g. what a shapeshifting ability is. Then it'd list all the variations - shapeshifting, animal mimicry, formshifting etc - and link to their individual pages.
