I got the answer, my daughter grinned, the smile on her face proud of herself. Quickly, she began explaining what she'd learned, the plans in place to deal with me. As I'd suspected, they'd be searching for me daily.

Re: World 5- The Formula
Shortly after she'd explained the entire plan to me, I said goodbye and left again. I had to admit, it made sense. They were planning to fake an accident while they transferred me into custody. It'd be effective. There'd be less time for any rescue, and a charred out skeletal body would be so much harder to try healing or reviving.

Re: World 5- The Formula
I immediately raced back to Peter's apartment, and explained what I'd learned to him. It took us only a few minutes to come up with a plan. We'd teleported to my apartment on the other side of the country, and then all we had to do was wait. Slowly, as the hours passed, my anxiety grew, turning steadily into fear. I had to tell myself over and over that I'd be fine. Nothing would happen to me. I'd be hidden, and we'd trick them, and then I'd be safe.

Where'd she go to?!! Claire yelled out furiously, seeing the woman suddenly vanish. She didn't really expect her colleagues to be able to answer. She was just expressing her rage, and trying to resist the urge to shout at Daphne for getting them here in the first place.
Daphne was as stunned as the rest, staying silent for several minutes, trying to compute it all. Afterwards, she muttered apologies to Claire and to the rest of her team, saying she had been misled, that she would never trust her source again.

You really didn't know about her? Claire narrowed her eyes at Daphne, her expression suspicious.

We'd been waiting for hours before there was a heavy knock upon the door. Instantly, my heart leapt up into my throat. This would be it... I just knew it. I remained silent, and after a few seconds, the knocking turned into a heavy pounding, as the door was broken in. Armed men in SWAT uniforms flooded in.

Re: World 5- The Formula
I just focused on staying as quiet and still as I could, paranoid that the slightest movement would give this away, and fought the urge to jump out and run or fight. Staying still just wasn't me, not at all. I watched then, eerieness overcoming that confliction, as an illusion formed of myself trying to fight them, trying to escape, but getting captured. It was so strange, so real-seeming.

I was told she would be unarmed and defenceless, fabricated Daphne.

Re: World 5- The Formula
(Can we just dump the Pinehearst team now? Focus on the actual important SLs? )
I continued to watch as the illusionary figure was dragged out, barely realising that we were meant to follow. I only remembered that when Peter nudged me forwards. But we'd need to stay there to maintain it.... and to change it, to convince them of my death. It didn't take long. Almost as soon as they'd reached the highway, the secured van wheeled off the road, falling down a deep embankment and bursting into flames. The driving agents appeared by the side, hidden from the roadway. I was guessing they'd teleported out before impact.

Re: World 5- The Formula
It's done, Peter reassured me softly. Within minutes, the agents had teleported off again, presumably returning back to Pinehearst. Once they were gone, I breathed a sigh of relief. I could barely believe that we'd done it, I'd escaped. I was free, now. They thought I was dead, and they'd never come looking for me again.

Kaylee spun on the spot the second she felt ground beneath her feet, planting a kiss squarely on John's lips. He was so surprised, he barely had time to react before she pulled away Thanks.

(If she had Salvation, she could do both in different circumstances There could also be other explanations. Like her being a multi. Or her having an alternating ability)

Re: World 5- The Formula
I returned back home, after that, but it was several hours before I felt safe. I'd be leaping up, ready to fight every time I heard someone passing at the door. This safety just wasn't fully possible. And I was wondering, too, what Pinehearst would make of my execution - would they publically announce the "crash"? Call it a tragic accident? Would my old family believe me dead, now - would the entire world?

Re: World 5- The Formula
Those questions kept repeating in my head, over and over. I wondered how long it'd be before people would hear, before people would know.
Aunt Saph?
Hearing Alicia's timid voice made me jump.
Yeah? I asked.
I was just wondering what you were so caught up in... are you worrying over Pinehearst? Are they still after you?

Re: World 5- The Formula
Smiling, I shook my head.
No, it's not that. That isn't going to a problem anymore.
What, then? she frowned. My smile faded slightly as I recalled my musings.
To fool them.... we had to let them think they'd caught me and killed me. And I guess I'm worrying over when more people will hear of that, how they'll react.... I'll have to be dead to the world.

Re: World 5- The Formula
I had never cared enough to read the paper, but Mr Muggles had gotten into the habit of kidnapping the paper and ripping it to the shreds before I even had the chance. To try and stop this, I had begun collecting the paper each morning, only to get rid of it before he could destroy it but this morning he had decided to preempt my preemptive strike and waited for the paper boy. When I got outside, it was already half shredded. I picked up the still legible bit, and just before I could put it in the bin, I caught a name "Sapphire Thompson".

Re: World 5- The Formula
That sounds... weird, she commented. I nodded grimly. That'd been my point - the mere idea was surreal. But it was what I had to do, now, to survive even.
