1. I would guess it's set in present time. It doesn't correspond to anything from Heroes.
2. I doubt it.
3. Nah. There's no formula. Abilities are only from the eclipses. No inheriting them naturally, no formula, and I doubt you could have Ability Granting etc.

Are the villains going to take over successfully first and then the heroes begin some sort of resistance to the new rulers? Or would the heroes find out about the villains' intentions and try to fight them before?

I think the villains slowly starts take over the world and then the heroes kinda notice it and starts to fight back. The first alternative that is.

I haven´t started with my good guy yet. So, I think I will go on doing so now, and soon the villains can take over, but I guess the good guys can meet and become friends and stuff, but the takeover will happen soon. I need more people that can become soldiers later on, it will become more fun that way. I´m the only one that has one soldier character at the moment.
