The films have something to do with time travel, right? Maybe the vortex/portal thing is a time hole.

- kitty now has an ability which allows her to put a person's conscious back in time,but she can only do it for a few days/weeks. however wolverine does it because he can go through the pain and damage it will do to his mind if he goes back decades. They want to send him back because the sentinels, (robots made to destroy mutants, because of their recklessness, starting targeting humans, as they can carry the gene of mutants, as their children/grandchildren could be mutants, so anyway they send him back to stop all this.

Maybe Stealth for the old one? I don't want to use the Peter and Claire one for Stealth because I don't think 2 people can use the ability. And all the other abilities I can recall already have gifs.

Ability Mimicry
I can't find a suitable self-healing ability which is gifless though. Regen has a gif, Accelerated healing does, self-healing, familial regen. I think it's too tame for any form of Immortality.

I'm not sure about Self-preservation. I thought that was more knowing how to keep yourself alive, and only a small part healing/faster recovery. I thought that was how we were basically differentiating it from regen.
