I didn't know what to do about that. A part of me - the rational, logical part of my brain - was mentioning that we'd need to take the kids in and look after them, but really I was just too stunned to act, to do anything. It just kept getting more and more. And we still didn't have the faintest clue what had even happened to cause these disappearances.
I'd gone over to their house, unsure really of why, but I'd found the entire place empty. I remembered then that the remaining kids would be at the Academy..... I didn't even know if they knew their parents and brother had vanished, yet. Poor things.

He opened his eyes, nothing had happened. He was home, it was a normal day and everything seemed to fit in. Jack smiled, nothing was bad but what was he feeling before. What had happened to him? Was this some sort of dream? Jack didn't need to pinch himself because he knew this was all real, it felt real. He began to walk around the house, he was the only one home. Jack looked at the time, the kids were probably at school and Tracy was probably at work but then something hit him. He began to notice changes, very slight changes that were normal to the naked eye but very perculiar for Jack.
He first looked at the walls. The paint was a plain magnolia, the previous colours of the walls in his home. The sofa was far more vibrant than its usual dull self and there was far less mess than usual- which was most perculiar for the Calwin home.

Jack walked down each step of the very long staircase. He went over to the sofa and touched it. It felt different than what it usually was, far more clean and colourful as though it has never been sat on. As if his children have never spilt drinks and snacks over it, as if him and his dear wife had never watched films together with the family, all cramming on the sofa at once. No clairsentient reading came to him, but he knew something was wrong- very wrong.

Jack continued to look around and peering out of the window he saw his wife and son. "Tracy! Cody!" He shouted at the top of his voice as he began to run towards the garden as fast as evolved humanly possible.

(In our timeline, Jack's disappeared. In the other timeline, it's like he's been there all the time. His memories of my survival, the other kids etc ought to disappear, he wouldn't know that there's any difference after. And Pippy and I have a plan for how things get explained, I just need her to get to RPing her part in it)

Despondently, I left the Calwin household, heading back to the base since I couldn't face returning home. It felt empty and wrong without Peter and Nathan there. Like there was a vital part missing - well, there was, 2 parts. Just knowing they were gone made me ache, every second.

"Sorry, kid." Jack had no idea why he said that, it would of been easier to say Nathan, but the word kids just rolled off his tongue as if it was natural. "How is Nathan?" He asked apologetically.
