Visual Ability Mimicry

The ability to mimic abilities only when one has seen them being used. This means that only abilities with a visible physical effect can be mimicked, and most mental abilities can't. However, if an ability has several aspects and only one is seen, all the aspects are automatically gained.

Does this one exsist already?

The ability to mimic abilities once they have been described to a person with this ability.

Not exactly, though it sounds a bit like Ability Learning. AL would take longer though, kinda needs study of the ability you're trying to mimic.

Reading

The psychic ability to read both minds and events in the future.

I'm not sure of the name, I've basically just gotten it from the Readers in Firefly/Serenity. Also not sure if it'd include River's awesome fighting skills even though it isn't really linked

Would an ability incorporating both enhanced aim and reflexes just be called Enhanced Aim And Reflexes? Or is there a potentially better name idea?

Electrical Constructs

The ability to form various constructs out of electrical energy. These can include weapons, shields or forcefields and teleportation devices.

Death Writing/Fatal Writing

This is basically inspired by how Rajan's been watching Death Note recently. The ability'd mean that a person could kill someone else simply by writing down the target's name, or maybe a description of that person or indicator (like "that person standing over there"), and maybe it'd also need a short fatal circumstance. Some people with the ability would be unable to write names without killing.

Blasting/Bolting

The ability to produce various blasts or bolts. These could include ice blasts, fire blasts, kinetic blasts, fatal blasts, mental blasts etc.

Do we have a power to find objects, or even just lost stuff in general?

Age Paralysis/Age Stasis

The ability to freeze a person at his or her current age. That person would then age no further, unless the ability's effect is released or another ability is used to counter it. It can be used on oneself or on others.

Persuasiveness/Charisma/Enhanced Charisma

The ability to be very charismatic and persuasive, in order to get others to agree to do things which they normally wouldn't. It isn't as powerful as Persuasion, as it can be resisted, though with difficulty and great strength of will.

(I'm not sure about this one, in context maybe just being normally persuasive and charismatic would do it. It's for one of the members of The Chasers, the one who persuaded Cree not to kill them all. Do you think normal persuasiveness would be enough?)

What would you call the ability to sense people's fears, worries and desires? Just Fear And Desire Detection? (Megan, W4, to remind myself who has it)

The ability to manipulate a person's life essence. This can alter a person's thoughts, emotions, fears, worries and desires, and can also weaken them or give them additional energy and drive.

cool. but with death note it has to be in the book and they have to know the person's name and have a clear image of what they look like in order for it to work. But yeah cool.

i wouldnt say persuasiveness due to persuasion but enhanced charisma sounds good.

I went with Psychic Reading

I know about the book in Death Note There, it's like the power's contained within the pages (similarly, you could have a pen which killed people when it wrote their name) but in our RPs the power's usually in the person/ability. And I thought it'd be more frightening if only a name or description was needed, rather than both.

I added Blasting/Bolting when I was thinking of making Bethany Brookes an EH instead of a witch It's one of her witch powers. And I wouldn't call that ability Energy Blasts, since it can also throw out non-energy-based attacks (unless everything counts as a form of energy )

I can't think of a name for the tracking one either Location? Object Location? Really it's suggestions for 2 abilities, too.

I'm not sure what exactly an essence would be, but then I don't know exactly what an aura would be either We've loads of other-parts-of-a-person-except-for-the-body manipulating abilities....

Exanguination

The ability to draw blood from the bodies of others. With a touch, this person would be able to drain another from blood, making all of the blood within the body simply disappear and killing the victim.

The power for one's blood to mimic various substances once one has been exposed to it. Blood could mimic water, acid, plasma, fire etc. Normally one could "store" the exposure to the substance so that one could make one's blood mimic it at any time after one exposure.

Could we alter the current Necronic Mimicry to Necronic Memory Mimicry, and then have a Necronic Mimicry which mimics more stuff from the dead? Possibly mimicking everything from a deceased person like Identity Theft does, or mimicking select features.

Also, could we have a Necronic Ability Mimicry?

Death Acceleration

The ability to accelerate a person's natural death so that it'd occur now instead of whenever they're meant to die. The death wouldn't have to be natural causes/could be murder; the ability just brings the next fated death forwards. Therefore, it possibly couldn't kill someone who was powerful enough or possessed something like regen, immortality etc., as possibly that person wouldn't have a natural death in store. Similarly, the ability couldn't give someone a painful death or a quick one unless that's what was destined.

Subliminal Messaging

Subliminal Messaging is the psychic ability to send messages directly into a subject's psyche (instead of affecting just the mind by Psychic Persuasion), by mentally emitting a subsonic message (mostly backward so the mind doesn't even pick it up). One with this ability need only speak or gesture a certain way (or mentally access satellites to broadcast one's power through electronic transmissions), which urges subjects to do a certain action (or even believe things which they normally would not).

For an image, I was thinking of that scene near the start of Alphas where Cam's seeing "time to kill" everywhere.
