Do you think we're.. where they are? asked Noah. For once, he sounded like his age - like a scared child who didn't want to be away from home.

Abbie nodded, almost fearfully. If we're here.. we should find Dad. Find out what's going on.

Her twin agreed with her and the two teleported hand in hand to the location they received for their father. At first when they appeared in the empty and deserted apartment, they didn't know what was happening, but soon they saw movement. Dad! shouted Abbie, happily. She moved over to hug her father, but the man who turned around looked more startled than relieved.

Who are you? he demanded in a hiss. Sylar threw out his hand and the two children connected with the wall unable to move before Abbie had even reached him.

Dad.. what's wrong? asked Noah, fearfully. Where are we? Where's mum?

Who are you?! he hissed again, more forcefully this time. Abbie let out the slightest grunt of pain as she was pushed against the wall even harder.

There were tears in Noah's eyes when he asked, What's wrong? Don't you recognise me?

Sylar took to pacing a few steps, taking in everything for a second, thinking. Did it matter who they were? Their power was substantial, more than he had ever felt. And they were young - helpless. Normally, he would draw a line, but he could feel the power, feel the hungry..

He turned to face the boy first, and silently began to draw his finger through the air. Noah screamed when the first jab of unyielding pain began across his forehead. Abbie screamed as well, sobbing now. For every second she wasted, she hated herself - she was pretending it was all alright, it was a joke.. but she knew it was real. This was her reality.. By the time the fear had worn off, the cut was halfway across Noah's forehead.

Abbie could feel the pressure as she wriggled to teleport out of his hold. She knew she had the power, she knew she could, but that didn't help her - it only made it worse. Once she was free, she appeared behind her father, contemplating what she should do. Should she attack him? Hurt him? She couldn't bring herself to do either although she knew she was capable of a lot more than hurting him. Abbie took a deep breathe to calm her tears before she teleported over to her brother, grabbing a hold of his sweaty palm and tried to teleport.

Sylar fought back, throwing her yet again against the wall, but this time, she was horribly prepared. Throwing out her left hand toppled her father of his feet and he lay still for a second, the power that he had used to hold them back having exhausted him. Noah slid down the wall with a thick stream of blood running down his forehead. We need to go.

Should we - should we hurt him? asked Noah, scared of the response. Again, it wasn't a question of capability, he knew he was powerful enough to stop his father.. but he was his father.

Abbie shook her head for a second, and then after more thought nodded. We don't we.. we could take him to the Organisation? She faltered after saying it. Do you think that's still here?

Afterwards, the two seemed to stand in an awkward silence, waiting for the other to break it. Noah's forehead healed quickly, not even leaving a scar, but that didn't cure his emotional injury. He fought of tears as he recalled the attack and Abbie noticed. We need to see Peter. He'll tell us what's happened.

Okay, agreed Noah, steadily. He nodded his head just afterwards and allowed Abbie to teleport the two of them to Peter.

Peter didn't visibly react as the 2 strange children appeared from nowhere into the apartment, his expression didn't flicker. He didn't move to stop them telekinetically - one of his current borrowed abilities - but that was because he couldn't believe anyone so young could pose a threat.

Who are you? he asked them, unaware that he was echoing the words of his one-time nemesis.

You don't recognise us either, remarked Noah, blandly. He was beyond being hurt by this now. After your own father has tried to kill you, it becomes a challenge to get upset over things.

Abbie sighed a little. My name's Abbie Gray, he's Noah. We're.. your niece and nephew.

We are, insisted Abbie. I don't know where we are, but this isn't reality. This is..

Hell, finished Noah for her.

Not reality? What else could it be? he asked. Sure, it did seem like hell, but only for him and his family.... and how couldn't it be real? It was happening. That made it the definition of real.

You're wrong. Peter.. do you know who Lowri is? she asked, fearful of his response.

My wife, he answered slowly, shocked that they'd know her name. She... she died. 7 years ago.

She's dead here, repeated Noah, the concept that Lowri could ever be dead for long astounding him.

Abbie shook her head, just as disbelieving. Lowri, dead? How did..?

Building 46, he almost spat the name out. Even now, the memory was bitter.

The name triggered a memory within Abbie - a story she'd heard, ever so briefly. A name rarely mentioned. Is Nathan safe? she asked

I think I know where we are, muttered Abbie. She was speaking directly to Noah even though she knew Peter could hear.

Noah shook his head a little. Can't be.

It makes sense, she disagreed.

How? replied Noah, irritably. In what alternate reality does this make sense..

He paused after he said it - alternate reality. He knew Abbie was thinking the same as they wondered in unison if this could really be what they think it was. Peter - how old is Nathan? Does he knew Daniella yet?

He's eight, he answered. And they met nearly 3 years ago.

Right, said Abbie. Same time.

Noah sighed again. It can't be, Ab. It's not possible.

How else do you explain all of this? Lowri being dead, and dad.. Her lips shuddered and she didn't finish her sentence. She couldn't say it.
