George was too busy starting a random conversation with Liam to notice. However, Neil noticed almost immediately that the news Tyler had received wasn't what they had been hoping for.

"So, what's the news?" Neil asked, with a not so optimistic look on his face. He tried keeping his hopes as low as possible.

(You wrote that he looked more relaxed/rested than before, I was wondering why. That's all)

They haven't managed to find her, he explained, grimacing slightly. We've a new mission instead.

How come they can't find her? Liam asked.

Either she has an immunity or an ability to block, or she's working with someone else who can block.

(Okay. Well, it is a secret...that I haven't come up with yet. )

Neil sighed. He had wished that they could just find the woman, capture her and not having to worry more about the slip that they did. Now it looked like it could take quite some time to find the woman, while they were off doing other missions.

"So. What's our new mission?"

Instead of answering directly, Tyler handed out copies of the files he'd been given to the other 3. He also wondered where Naomi was. Running late? He suspected she'd have called in if that were the case though, and he'd have been told. Maybe it had something to do with whatever meeting had delayed Liam the previous day. He didn't really know what that had been about either.

(Yeah, thanks for me to figure out the hard part...    )

Looking at the files, Neil soon realized it was mostly pictures of a crime scene. A crime scene where someone had been murdered. Neil wondered why they had gotten this case and not a unit with homicide detectives. When he then turned the page and saw the attached photos, he knew the answer immediately. The victim was a senator but it was the way he was murdered that had made Neil convinced why they had been assigned the case. The senators body was partially melted, having som limbs that during the time of death was liquified. Half his face was melted, leaving his expression of agony only partially visible. But it was enough to see the pain he must have been, though the death seemed to have been quick.

George looked at the file too, feeling how his positive morning, with a good night's sleep and a nice morning with his wife, was just gone at the sight of the images.

"How people can do this to one another is beyond me. I will never understand them." George muttered, mostly to himself.

"Okay. Shall we get going then?"

Neil and George followed his lead down to the garage.

Neil and George followed, flashing their badges as well. The apartment was very fancy, to no one's surprise and pretty roomy. Neil prepared himself mentally, preparing to have to face melted parts of the senator's body that they hadn't been able to get from the floor. Neil had no idea how the consistency of a solidified, melted bodyparts was. Was it like stearine or did it even solidify at all? Neil shook his head. It was too much speculation about melted flesh for him to be comfortable with it.

Neil's suspicions had been right. Neil had to force himself to look and was just glad that the majority of the body wasn't still laying around. Neil started to immediately search the place for clues, trying to be as thorough as possible.

Tyler and Liam were doing likewise. Tyler instructed George to use his Tracking Skill, which'd mean he'd be more likely to pick something up than the rest of them.
