What are you watching right now?

It's kinda weird, but it's a horror-y film by Joss Whedon (surprisingly) and Drew Goddard, I think but it's quite good Unsurprisingly contains a lot of the usual Whedon cast..

I never really got into the whole horror film stuff Half my friends hated them, and I never really found them scary, plus they didn't last long enough to get me emotionally attached to the characters - why I tend to prefer TV series.

It would be strange not to see at least a few familiar faces in anything Whedon-related

I've always preferred shows to films, because they last longer but it's quite cool - it's all sort of they go to this cabin, but it's not like haunted or anything, it's controlled by these guys.. kinda Hunger Games like, but not in the "they have to kill each other to survive". Or I hope not, I've not seen the end yet..

Or recognise the names of about half the cast, by now?

Now that just sounds weird, and I'm wondering how they control it if they don't force them to fight. Evil Big Brother? Or should I say eviller?

Exactly I think his is the only wikipedia page I know of that's actually got a "Regular Cast" section..

I don't know if they make them fight, but definitely a lot of creepy shit happens No one seems to be smart though, but I have it on good authority that the druggie actually survives for once..

He has favs I think he tends to give actors minor roles in something to test them out.

Maybe it's trying to trick all the viewers who try to predict the outcome. Does anything else differ? Like maybe the blonde isn't hopeless and doesn't need constant rescuing?

Like Felicia Day in Buffy - she was credited as a co-star, but then she was one of the mains in Dr Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog and she's been in Dollhouse. And speaking of, Alexis Denisof (or is it Denisoff) literally just appeared..

No, the blonde does seem pretty dumb so far But that's only the first half an hour - one of the football players doesn't seem to be a total douchebag though, which is also a big twist..

And the other might actually have a sense of humour - it's a bit strange Also, I think it'd be the third time that Amy Acker's played a character needing her to be in a doctor's coat

Yup Just watched the Dollhouse finale/my life end (I'm not being overdramatic, it's physically heartbreaking)

The X Files episode with the evil computer, which is even funnier in old paranoia than the Buffy one with the evil computer

But do they fight an evil computer robot? I haven't seen X files in YEARS

They don't physically fight it (kinda a shame ) but there's an evil AI killing people

Sounds weird I think the best bit about the computer episode was Xander saying that he believed books were about to make a good comeback It was also hysterically funny to me seeing them using the top of the range computers that were like thirty metres wide

Those computers were hysterical Like in the film, at the start I couldn't stop laughing cause the early 90s fashion was just that bad.

I still haven't got around to the film! I thought the outfits in Charmed were bad enough in some of the earlier seasons..
