After he leaves, I go outside, and think about my day. I realised early what I had to do, but how to do it? How to ever explain? They don't understand, they're not caught up in all of this like I am, like I let myself be. Well, I know how to start, at least. I re-enter the building, and take off from the roof.
on my way to my apartment i see nathan.. alright there nephew... ok i wont say that it seems strange.. where are you going... Nathan : i might see my mum...
alright.. well cya.. i carry on my journey home...
He enters the base, and asks for me, but is told I've left. He goes to my office to wait for me. While he's waiting, he wonders whether he should do this. Would it be too weird, meeting her like this? Too......unnatural. After all, she's saved now, it's not the only chance he'll get. Maybe he and Dani should just go home now.
i stop and think in the middle of the street.. i look up in the air... flashbacks appear in my head.. the childhood of my life.. my eyes tear up, and my paces increase...
Eventually, I land, after flying for what's probably hundreds, if not thousands, of miles. I've chosen to do this part first, it'll probably be easier. But I'm still dreading it, somehow. I tell myself not to be stupid. It's a happy occasion. I force myself to ring the doorbell.
My hand's shaking as I remove it, and the seconds she takes to come down and open the door feel like hours. Eventually, she's there. She opens it carefully, then stares at me, disbelieving her eyes.
the note smells like the ocean, the sound of the paper is like the waves are the ocean... i smile more... and on the back of this note full of love was written...
You heard then? Long story short, I nearly died, people thought I had, because I got time travelled forwards a month. I had to, or it'd have damaged time.....
She nods, still dumbstruck. She wipes her eyes, and hugs me again. She starts laughing.
I land outside, and walk in. I spend some time walking around, it's changed so much. Like it's gotten smaller somehow. Or maybe it's just me that's changed. I sigh. I know I'm delaying. I walk up the hill to the house, so familiar. Again, I ring the doorbell.
No one comes to open the door, so I open it myself with the spare key I have (still have it even though I live a continent away ). I walk into the house, calling for them. They recognise my voice.
Dani wakes up, to the sound of gentle knocking on her door. She blinks, and rubs her eyes. A voice whispers her name through the wood. She slips out of bed, and lets him in.
