As soon as she could no longer sense Tomas' presence, Tannith calmed a little. It was easier to control herself when she couldn't sense someone to attack, even though she knew in truth that her Hunter self wasn't silent, it was eating away at her own life. But that didn't matter. Not in comparison. Biting her lip, she slipped her way free, and flitted out, leaving the mansion and its grounds far away behind her.

She only slowed down when the building pain in her body forced her to. She'd been struggling on for the last few miles, pushing herself on, further away. So focused, she didn't even fully realise that she'd been leaving a trail of blood as her claws once more dug in through her skin.

Slowly, she collapsed to her knees, gasping for breath and sliding in and out of consciousness. It felt like a series of knives were being torturously pulled through her. Ripping her apart, piece by piece. The agony was almost unbearable, and all she could do was focus on the fact that this way she was sparing those she loved.

She raised her hand, feeling a small trickle of blood pouring from her nose. She wiped it away, but it was soon replaced by a faster flow. She didn't have the energy to manipulate it away. Soon, there was blood beginning to leak from her eyes and ears, too.

She coughed, violently, again and again, tasting the bitter metallic taste of blood as it began to fill her mouth. She could feel it, her body turning on itself, slowly eroding away. She could feel herself slowly die, fading away with every second.

She was on her knees by now, unable to raise onto her legs again. Even raising her head was difficult. She was fighting for each breath, her heart racing painfully fast, each heartbeat causing blood to throb from the open wounds she'd created in herself. She could feel her consciousness, her very life, slipping away with each second.

Her body was shaking, trembling, quaking. Every few seconds, she'd slide further, her lower legs digging into the damp sand she was lying in. Out of nostalgia, she'd aimed to flit back home, but she hadn't made it anywhere near that far. She was on some random abandoned beach still in Japan.

Her thoughts spread out, clinging to life, fading away. As her eyes closed over, she saw all their faces. Her coven. Her children. Tomas, her beloved Tomas. Lleucu. Her family. She could almost see them reaching out to her from death, calling out to her.
