She knelt beside the body, pulling the man into the light. Softly she closed his eyes, even though she knew she'd have him revived soon enough, and she whispered an apology. It was then it struck her - why? Why would anyone do this, and who? And why her?

I was frozen to the spot, rereading the words, again and again, expecting to find a different meaning. Searching for something I couldn't find. How many meanings could there be for "Follow me, and I'll kill you." The big one. The one that meant my husband had left me. The one I couldn't believe. This had to be a trick, of some kind. A horrible, horrible pratical joke.

The room she arrived in, this time, was instantly recognisable. At first she smiled, seeing the faint moonshaped nightlight, the cots, the avalanche of soft toys which for once weren't moving. She couldn't help but call out softly, calling names.
Darrien....Tessa.....
Silence. Unnerving silence. Now she was remembering what had drawn her out those last few times.

Her breath caught in her throat, and she had to unwillingly force her eyes to look around the room, knowing what she'd find. Tears spilled as she found them, the 3 bodies lying discarded under one of the cribs. She picked them up, finding that they fitted easily in just one arm.

Abbie was awake, anyway, staring at the ceiling, trying to think of a way to make all of it better, when Dani appeared. She jumped, and climbed out of the bed, immediatly, and ran over, taking the the first tiny body off Dani, tears in her eyes.
